After a below average Survivor Series, the WWE somehow rose to the expectations with a great show at TLC. Most of the matches lived up to the hype while some of the undercard ones stood out from the rest.

The superstars stepped their game up in the ring as they are heading into the WrestleMania part of the year. Though the aftermath of TLC is unknown, it would be fair to rate the performance of the wrestlers on the basis of their show at the year ending pay-per-view.

So here is a look at the superstar ratings for WWE’s latest addition into the PPV archives.

Kane – 0/10

Kane and Stephanie McMahon

This is simply for the sheer stupidity that the WWE has been doing to make their merchandise sales go up. Most of the superstars have been dragged out of their kayfabe to perform idiotic promos for the same.

And at TLC, the former Big Red Machine was seen fighting with a Brodus Clay doll, I mean how pathetic can the creative get? Its like the whole company is being run for the children who run behind John Cena for the dolls he endorse.

Ryback and Curtis Axel – 6/10

Rybaxel

The newly formed Rybaxel never had the team chemistry to start off with and they became the first to be eliminated making things more worse.

They carried a lot of momentum into the match but were shown weaker among the other three teams. It’s still early days for the ex- Paul Heyman and more could be expected in the future with the tag team division flourishing.

Brodus Clay – 6/10

Tensai and Brodus Clay

Clay might have lost the match against R-Truth, but his new heel monster gimmick is finally starting to click with the fans.

The tension with Tensai and the Funkadactyls were also highlighted which could end with Clay dropping his dancing gimmick which expired ages ago. A more intense side of the wrestler is good to watch and the loss looks worthy after all.

Natalya – 6/10

It’s a rare sight to see a diva performing well in the pay-per-views other than AJ Lee. But Natalya put on a great technical match against AJ as she challenged for the divas title.

It was a good show from the total divas star and she gave more than what was expected. The match was crisp and exciting and the loss doesn’t look too bad on Natalya due to the brilliance with which the match was planned out.

Big Show and Rey Mysterio – 6.5/10

Big Show

A jump to the tag team division is way better than being booked badly as singles for both the men. And their show in TLC clearly says that the company wants to develop the duo as a team which would challenge for the tag team titles.

Show and Mysterio eventually lost the match, but showed that the team has a good future if pushed correctly. Seeing Big Show in the division is more than exciting as he was getting stale at the main event scene.

The Real Americans – 6.5/10

Antonio Cesaro and Jack Swagger put on another solid performance at TLC with Cesaro receiving special praise for being the stand out performer in the team.

Cesaro has been wooing the fans solely with his in ring style and Swagger complemented with his skills. Despite having great chemistry in between them unlike Rybaxel and Big Show-Mysterio teams, the Real Americans again fell short when the title was up for grabs. It could be a good time to give them a title run and let the titles rest with heels for a refreshing change.

The Shield – 6.5/10

The Shield

Though the Shield took an unimpressive loss in the handicap match, the trio clearly served their purpose of moving with the kayfabe.

Roman Reigns was shown as the weak link in the team but it further moved his babyface push. The Shield put a good match nevertheless but was exposed of their weakness by Punk. At the end of the day, they still remain in the main event scene, so it was a win-lose balanced event for the Shield.

Daniel Bryan – 7/10

The flying goat put another intense performance in the ring only to be hit by the numbers game in his handicap match against the Wyatt family.

Bryan clearly took the biggest fall in TLC to put the Wyatts over. Although he is the biggest star among the fans, Bryan clearly has been booked badly over the PPV and has more than a million reasons to be unhappy with the result

John Cena- 7/10

John Cena

Cena came into TLC with a prospect of having both the titles around his waist, but the Cenation leader left the PPV empty handed as he lost to Randy Orton in the main event.

The result came as a surprise for most of the fans that were starting to feel dead about the whole superman gimmick of John Cena. It also proved to be good for the business as Cena would be a much more interesting character to look forward too.

AJ Lee – 7.5/10

AJ Lee

There wasn’t anything spectacular about AJ’s match with Natalya. It was a plane simple match which had AJ doing what she does best, retaining her title. The match once again showed that she is the only credible star in the divas division and is on her way to be the longest reigning Divas Champion.

She has fought with almost all the Divas in the division at the moment and could run out of opponents very soon. Future concerns apart, AJ put on some excellent in ring performance as usual and calls out to the world why the title has been around her waist for so long.

Goldust and Cody Rhodes – 7.5/10

Rhodes Brothers

The Rhodes brothers retained their titles against all the odds at TLC despite suffering back to back losses in the buildup to the match.

Another solid show from the team ensured that the match stood out from the rest as the best. The whole re launch of the tag team division and the title reign of the Rhodes brothers have been exciting till now and is expected to give more nail biters in the future.

Wyatt Family – 7.5/10

Wyatt family

The Wyatt Family was the clear winners in the TLC pay-per-view as they got one over a top star in the company although it was a handicap match.

The intensity and psychology that the trio showcased inside the ring reminded us of how filmsy the professional wrestling business is. Bray Wyatt looked like though he was some character from a horror movie and backed his gimmick with some good in-ring performance.

Big E Langston – 8/10

Big E Langston

With the unification math concluding at TLC, Langston was the clearest winner since he is currently holding the second most important title in the company.

He came across Damien Sandow without much sweat and showcased his dominance as a champion. Langston will be more important in the locker room after the PPV and will have a lot of opponents to fight off in order to retain his title. But Langston clearly is one of those stars who got the best out of TLC.

CM Punk – 8/10

CM Punk

The show was stolen by the problems of Shield, but Punk played the protagonist in the proceedings and came out winner against all the odds.

On paper, no one would have given the straight edge star a chance but he emerged victorious and gave a flamboyant performance. There is still a lot of doors open for Punk to explore and as always he would be an asset for the company as they prepare for WrestleMania.

Randy Orton- 9/10

Randy Orton

Orton came into the match as a clear underdog but left the arena with two titles in his hand. He clearly etched himself as the most valuable star in the company at the moment with the win and the fact that it came clean adds more credibility to the win.

Orton is also being established as the trump card of the Authority despite a bump with Triple H last week.

To sum it up, Orton stole the show at TLC and also managed to raise some eyebrows in the process.
