Former ROH star Moose is one of the hottest free agents on the wrestling circuit at the moment. His contract with ROH ended recently and there was widespread speculation if he would come to the WWE.
This was shut down when it was reported that an old domestic assault charge forced WWE to pass over considering signing him. Reports emerged of multiple promotions pursuing the 6”5’ 295-pounder, including ROH, TNA and PWG.
It was reported that TNA might be his destination since they had made him the best offer and allwrestlingnews.com cofirms that Moose did indeed receive an offer from the promotion.
MLW’s tweeted that Moose had signed a multi-year deal with TNA. They later corrected themselves saying that Moose himself informed them that an offer put forth by TNA was on the table. The tweet also said that Moose had not signed with TNA yet but a decision was forthcoming.
A former offensive tackle from Syracuse University, Moose, real name Quinn Ojjinaka, played in the NFL for six years(2006-2012) before making the transition to pro-wrestling. He had stints with the Atlanta Falcons, New England Patriots, St. Louis Rams and the Indianapolis Colts. A unique hybrid of power and athleticism, Moose unsurprisingly caught the eye of the WWE. Hall Of Famer Jim Ross even believed that he could be a potential opponent for Brock Lesnar.
