Payback is in the books and we are officially on the road to Extreme Rules. But rather than focusing on the same, the entire wrestling world had their attention on what happened on Friday when WWE released a string of superstars. The same has kicked off some interesting rumors in the Internet and they are one of the headlines in this list.
There is an update on when WWE is planning to end the AJ Styles vs. Roman Reigns feud while TNA is planning some big things even though the fans are tagging them as a sinking ship. But the biggest rumor of past week came about Undertaker and it is something which could shock everyone. Here are the top rumors and their analysis.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
More releases to come
It was black Friday in the WWE as the promotion released eight superstars from their roster. While some of the releases felt shocking, others were apparently spot-on from WWE. But the bad news is, there is more to come. WWE is looking to release a few more superstars in the coming weeks with the names of Mark Henry and Ryback featuring among the rumors.
Ryback is in a full-fledged war against WWE at this moment and release would probably be the best option for him now. As far as Henry is concerned, his contract is coming to an end and this is why WWE has not been using him on television. Henry apparently has no plans of resigning with the company.
TNA looking for Huge changes
While WWE is releasing their talent to keep up with the inflow and probably the financial restrictions, TNA is on a signing spree. The company, which is under the scanner for their financial crisis recently announced some re-signing and new additions to their roster. This is expected to continue in the coming weeks as they are in talks with more superstars.
Also, TNA wants their talent to sign the contracts in such a way that they would be able to control the booking that the talents take elsewhere. To add this clause, TNA could offer more money, which is never a good idea for a promotion that is suffering big time.
Update on Reigns vs. AJ Styles feud
The Roman Reigns vs. AJ Styles feud turned into one of WWE’s most valued assets last week on Raw and from what we know, the feud is all set to continue all the way to Money in the Bank. Reigns and AJ is set to go one on one once again at Extreme Rules but that is not going to be the end.
We could expect some twist at the pay-per-view so that WWE could keep on the feud going till Money in the Bank. There are, however, no current plans of getting Finn Balor in between which means that the whole ‘Bullet Club’ idea could be taking a different turn than what everyone expected.
The Enzo Amore situation
Enzo Amore was backstage during the television tapings last week but WWE decided not to use him as they did not want him to be featured on the show after the recorded concussion. WWE apparently has no idea about when Enzo will be ready to make his return but they have not given up on the team yet.
They are keeping Big Cass on the television to keep the tag team’s momentum going but still, there is no timeline on when this will stop. Enzo is expected to get a huge pop when he finally returns so WWE might also be milking the situation and letting Enzo heal up before they pull the plug.
Undertaker retired?
In a shocking turn of events, Undertaker has apparently said to Vince McMahon that he is retired. Though no official announcements have been made, Taker conveyed the same personally to Vince and the chairman is currently looking to lure in Undertaker into a big money final match at WrestleMania 33.
Vince apparently wants Taker to face John Cena at WrestleMania next year but it is to be seen whether Taker will accept the offer. It would be a shame if he goes out without having a proper farewell match but knowing Taker, he is unpredictable and anything could happen. Rock vs. Brock Lesnar is another match that Vince wants to book for WrestleMania 33.
