WWE: Top 5 young prospects to watch out for!

Rollins

This year promises to be an interesting period in the WWE, as in the past few years, the WWE has signed up a lot of independent wrestlers, who are great in-ring talents and were formerly termed as ‘Indy darlings’. The likes of CM Punk, Daniel Bryan and Antonio Cesaro proved how they weren’t just a fluke in the independent scene, and have been successful in making a name for themselves in the WWE. With WWE showing interest in packing their roster with some of the finest talents in the world, there are a few names in the company who can create a huge impact in the organization, and send shock waves in the industry. In this article, I take a look at five such phenomenal talents, who can make all the difference this year in the WWE.

Seth Rollins

One half of the current WWE tag team champions, the former Tyler Black, is a phenomenal athlete who is regarded highly by his peers in the WWE. Rollins made an impressive debut along with The Shield, and has been successful in holding his own, proving to be one of the most promising stars this year. Rollins has been regarded as one of the best wrestlers on the independent scene before signing up with the WWE, and has all the talent in the world to become a top name in the company. Although he’s a natural face like Jeff Hardy, Rollins has proven how he can be an effective heel as well, and this past week on RAW, he proved his in – ring abilities, putting on an amazing TV match against Daniel Bryan. If everything goes well, this can be the year of Seth Rollins, and he can prove himself to be a main event material in the WWE.

Dean Ambrose

The unproclaimed leader of The Shield has already been tipped to be the future of the business. Dean Ambrose is arguably one of the most exciting and talented superstars on the roster, and has been heralded as the future WWE champion! Ambrose, like the other young talent made a name for himself on the independent scene, before he was signed up by the WWE. Although Ambrose was tipped to make his debut in an angle with Mick Foley, it was scratched and the WWE creative came up with The Shield storyline for Ambrose, Rollins and Reigns. Ambrose has already created a huge impact in the company, and it is almost certain that he will be the top heel of the company soon. The WWE management has already recognized his talents, and put the WWE United States championship on him, and Ambrose hasn’t disappointed them. The sky is the limit for Ambrose in the WWE, and his future looks better than ever!

Ohno

The former Chris Hero was once regarded as the best wrestler in the indies, with him working for most of the major independent promotions, and being a main stay of Ring of Honor. He, along with the now Antonio Cesaro were a part of one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history, who called themselves the ‘Kings of Wrestling’. Hero was then signed up by the WWE in ’12, and since then has been performing in their developmental territories. Chris Hero is one of the few natural heels, such as Dean Ambrose, and can be the perfect addition as the fourth member of The Shield if the WWE decides to go that way. The whole internet wrestling fraternity knows Chris Hero’s potential, and he can be the ‘next big thing’ in the organization.

Sami Zayn

The former ‘El Generico’ has been one of the hottest stars on the independent scene, and has been regarded as one of the greatest high fliers in modern wrestling circuit. So it came as no surprise when WWE decided to sign him up and bring him to NXT, and repackage him as ‘Sami Zayn’, without his mask. El Generico has traveled all over the world, working for top indy promotions such as Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Dragon Gate etc., performing as a luchadore from Mexico. It was reported that Paul Levesque aka Triple H is a fan of El Generico, and was instrumental in him signing for WWE in the first place! Although he hasn’t made his debut on the main roster yet, you can bet your money’s worth that soon, Sami will be the new sensation in the WWE.

Bray Wyatt

Being a third generation superstar is never easy, and the former Husky Harris has found that out first hand. The WWE repackaged Harris and came out with a new character, a zealot by the name of ‘Bray Wyatt’. Soon, Wyatt gathered two other members and created a faction called ‘The Wyatt Family’, and since then has been one of the brightest talents on NXT. With the vignettes of The Wyatt Family coming to RAW airing for the past few weeks, the wrestling fans and the WWE Universe alike are waiting eagerly for the debut of Bray Wyatt, and to see the impact he creates in the WWE. This year can mark the resurgence of Bray Wyatt in the WWE, and he can become the company’s top heel within a short time.
