1- Dean Ambrose to take hiatus

The Shield reunion could happen at Rumble

The speculation about a potential Shield reunion at Survivor Series could be put to bed after No Mercy. Dean Ambrose, who lost his WWE Championship to AJ Styles at Backlash, is expected to take a long hiatus after No Mercy so that he could be in the new movie produced by WWE studios.

Ambrose is scheduled to work in a triple threat with Styles and John Cena at the pay-per-view, after which, he might not return until Royal Rumble.

This, however, opens the door for the Shield reunion at the Rumble, which is also a show that has both Raw and SmackDown talents. The format of the Rumble would be ideal for a short reunion as well, assuming that all three men wouldn’t hold any major championships at that time.
