Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio were the best of friends
Eddie Guerrero passed away in November 2005, this then led to a tribute episode of Raw that night, which then slowly built up to Rey Mysterio becoming World Champion the following year at WrestleMania, in memory of the man that many fans connected Rey Mysterio to.

Mysterio won the 2006 Royal Rumble and dedicated his performance to his fallen friend. But it was revealed on the latest episode of WWE Untold that Mysterio didn't actually go and visit his friend's grave until last year, more than 14 years after Eddie passed away.
Mysterio talked about the memories that flooded back to him when he went to see his friend and how he once again had the realization that he wouldn't see him again. It was a hard time for Mysterio since he recalled that he thought that he had already got through this but he hadn't and going back to see his grave brought it all back.
