Update on a possible title match on Monday Night RAW

John Cena’s injury may come as some bad news for the WWE, but Kalisto wouldn’t mind it as he is set to get a deserved push, as reported earlier.

The highflyer picked up a clean victory against United States Champion Alberto Del Rio on the latest Smackdown episode, that kickstarted the Del Rio-Kalisto feud. The non-title upset on Smackdown has lead to WWE putting out a teaser for a possible title match between the two Hispanic stars on RAW.

Thursday night on SmackDown, John Cena introduced Kalisto as U.S. Champion Alberto Del Rio’s opponent, and after The Essence of Excellence refused to put his title on the line, The Lucha Dragon scored an upset victory over the boastful League of Nations member.

Following Kalisto’s non-title win over Del Rio — perhaps the biggest accomplishment in his career thus far — is the masked marvel in line for a U.S. Title opportunity?

Firstly, it is a great that WWE is pushing Kalisto as the feud with Del Rio could be the breakout moment the masked wrestler has been looking out for. If the match does end up featuring on RAW, Kalisto could very well pull off another upset and bring back the lost buzz that surrounded the U.S. title months back.
