Update on Cena's new show, Will he make a return at TLC?

Cena’s hiatus would come to an end in the next couple weeks

John Cena co-hosting Fox’ new reality show American Grit and his inevitable return have been the talk of the town in recent weeks.

According to earlier reports that came in, Cena had completed the filming of the reality show that is set to air in 2016 around spring. This development gave rise to speculations about Cena making a return at TLC – that is being held at the Cenation leader’s hometown in Boston.

All the speculations were put to rest after DispatchNews.com reported that the show is scheduled to actually wrap up proceedings on December 16th. This makes a Cena return at TLC highly unlikely as the pay-per-view is set to happen on December 13th.

WWE’s franchise player is set to be on the sidelines for another week or two and would most likely be back on TV post-TLC. Cena, though, has been putting out inspirational tweets on his handle for the time being.

American Grit isn’t the only thing that has kept Cena occupied, as he is also set to feature in the upcoming Tina Fey and Amy Poehler starring comedy ‘Sisters’. Below is a trailer and Cena’s thoughts on playing a drug dealer in the movie:
