The Wrestlecade 4 event in Winston-Salem, North Carlina didn’t end too well for Matt Hardy, whose head was left busted open after a brutal shot of the guitar to the head that unfortunately didn’t break.
Hardy was bleeding profusely and required a whopping 38 stitches to cover the wound up. That wasn’t all as he spent the night in a hospital and was under doctor's observation.
Hardy lost the Wrestlecade World Heavyweight Championship to Jeff Jarrett and in the process sustained a nasty wound. He posted these tweets that highlight the progress he’s been making and also the risk of sustaining serious injuries in pro wrestling:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
According to reports from the fans in attendance at the event, Jarrett and Hardy put on a great match minus any over-the-top spots. It was old school wrestling with some sublime storytelling.
The event also saw former WWE United States Champion Shelton Benjamin in action against another former WWE star in Mr. Anderson.
