Vince McMahon freaking out over recent drop in ratings

According to Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon is said to be “freaking out” over the recent drop in ratings for Raw and Smackdown. Both shows have suffered significant drops lately with Raw hitting the lowest viewership numbers in years, while Smackdown has been hovering just above (and once below) the two-million mark for non-holiday shows the first time.

It is worth noting, however, that the site also noted that McMahon’s reaction tends to be the same at the start of each fall as football and the new TV season returns. However, the ratings have been on a general slide, with this September’s numbers down around half a million from the same time last year. This is usually when WWE does something big to try and shake things up.

Last night’s WAGS, which airs after Total Divas on the E! network and features Kelly Kelly, drew 370,000 viewers. This is a big drop from last week’s 678,000 viewers. As noted, Total Divas drew just 795,000 viewers, down from last week’s 804,000 viewers.

As reported, Jon Stewart accepted Triple H’s challenge to dance for Pediatric Cancer Awareness and issued a challenge to Stephanie McMahon. Stephanie will be posting a dance video soon but replied with this tweet:
