Ilja Dragunov is arguably the most unique performer WWE has in its arsenal today. The Russian had a short undefeated streak when he first emerged onto the scene in NXT UK and has since had quite a bit of success and some great matches involving men from Imperium.

Finn Balor, on the other hand, recently returned to NXT and turned heel to give the NXT Universe much more they could’ve ever bargained for.

Balor is currently involved in a bitter rivalry with Johnny Gargano, and the two men will likely write the first chapter of their rivalry at NXT TakeOver: Portland. Since there will be so much on the line at the event, and all eyes will be on these two star-performers, NXT will be looking to allow Balor to go over the roof in his Worlds Collide match.

Balor has already tasted defeat in NXT upon his return, and now the brand needs to build him up to be a strong competitor before he collides with Gargano.

With that in mind, not only should Balor defeat a strong contender like Dragunov who has never backed down from a fight, but squash him in minutes to make a huge statement.

There is no doubt that Dragunov is one of the strongest and hardest hitters in NXT UK, and going over him will help Balor become an instant star once again.
