#2 Rhea Ripley retains her Championship

Will The Nightmare brave the Storm this time?

At NXT UK TakeOver: Blackpool (2019), Toni Storm rose above the rest of the NXT UK locker room and defeated Rhea Ripley to become the NXT UK Women’s Champion.

Almost exactly a year ago at Worlds Collide (2019), Storm defeated Ripley again in a dark match to retain her title.

Storm held the title for a few months before losing it to Kay Lee Ray at NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff on Aug 31st, 2019. Since then, we’ve seen Storm compete in far fewer matches, while Ripley has managed to become a huge star on NXT and even defeated Shayna Baszler for the NXT Women’s Championship.

Ripley will once again defend her title against the woman who defeated her for the NXT UK title last year and will try to hold on to it with a good show.

While Storm is a great candidate to take the title away from Ripley again, NXT must book Ripley to retain her Championship as she has only recently become the Champion.

The Nightmare has a lot of fan following at the moment, and she has the ability to transform the entire NXT women’s division by having some great title matches against women like Io Shirai and Candice LeRae.
