Initially, we thought that the purpose of Andre the Giant Battle Royal was to put over young talent. The inaugural edition did just that as Cesaro won. The second edition, however, was entirely opposite with Big Show winning the trophy. Show had no benefit of winning the same and the match seemed more like a filler in the match card.
This year, WWE will have a stacked list for the battle royal and it would be interesting to see whether WWE would continue the trend from WrestleMania 31 or go by what they did at WrestleMania 30. The name of Braun Strowman has been discussed for quite some time now and he is a favorite to walk out as the winner. Mark Henry is another possible name the show would be in his hometown.
