In a match against Baron Corbin this Monday on RAW, Rey Mysterio injured his right ankle leaving his status for his WrestleMania 35 match against United States Champion Samoa Joe in doubt. Mysterio will likely compete in the bout, but it is doubtful that he will be anywhere near 100%. Mysterio also made a terrible mistake in announcing his injury and alerting one of WWE's most dangerous and advantageous competitors.

Samoa Joe excels at sheer brutality. He is relentless in the pursuit of systematically destroying his opponent. Mysterio may have well announced that there would be blood in the water to a great white shark.

Samoa Joe, a superb in-ring technician and self-described submission machine, will certainly capitalize on Mysterio's injury. Joe will target Mysterio's ankle early and often causing the fan favorite a great deal of pain that will be difficult to watch. Look for Samoa Joe to use Mysterio's injury to his advantage and inevitably incapacitate the WWE legend with the terrifying coquina clutch.
