RAW's very best tag team looked to be left off the main WrestleMania card, but as so often happens in WWE, plans changed. After being confronted by Curt Hawkins and Zack Ryder, who are jonesing for a match in their own New Jersey native backyard, The Revival obliged and WWE added this final match to the already stacked WrestleMania 35 card.
Hawkins and Ryder are former tag team champions, however defeating The Revival (even with a home field advantage) would prove to be a tall order. Curt Hawkins has been on a historic losing streak of 269 losses in a row. That streak has continued even after reuniting with Ryder.
All hope is not lost; however, for the action figure loving duo. Ryder has a previous WrestleMania moment having the Intercontinental Championship in a multi-man ladder match at WrestleMania 32. He understands the big stage and the bright lights like no other man in this bout. If Hawkins follows Ryder's lead and the two ride the wave of hometown momentum, perhaps they can catch the confident Revival off guard for a quick and shocking pinfall. After all the losing streak has to end sometime, we think.
Plus, The Revival don't seem to be taking their opponents seriously at all. Scott Dawson recently tweeted, "Hawkins and Ryder were relevant over a decade ago because Edge allowed them to ride his coattails. Y'all can jump on the back of our jackets. We'll make you relevant one more time."
