#1. The SmackDown Tag Team Championships are not being defended at WrestleMania for the first time in four years
The SmackDown Tag Team Championships will not be defended this weekend at WrestleMania because of apparent time constraints with the card. The Championships were only introduced to WWE back in 2016 following the return of the Brand Split. Back in 2017, WWE decided against defending them at their first WrestleMania.
The SmackDown Tag Team Championships will be defended this week on SmackDown instead and will see Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler take on Rey Mysterio and Dominik, The Alpha Academy and The Street Profits.
It's unclear if the winners will then be forced to go on to defend their Championships at WrestleMania. Since the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal is now taking place on SmackDown, it's likely that the WrestleMania card has been filled.
It's unclear why the SmackDown Tag Team titles were not defended back in 2017, since then-Champions Jimmy and Jey Uso were part of the men's battle royal on the official card.
