#1 Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan for the WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania 37

Three of WWE's biggest stars delivered what may be the best match of WrestleMania 37 as a whole. Roman Reigns defended the Universal Championship against Edge and Daniel Bryan in the main event.

The Tribal Chief was viciously booed by WWE fans in attendance at WrestleMania, while the Rated-R Superstar was by far the most popular man, even more than Bryan. And the action was intense right from the off.

Jey Uso got involved early but was taken out by Edge's Edgecution on the steel steps. The two challengers had a tasty exchange in the ring while Reigns was down before he eventually returned to the ring. It was then he and Edge who faced off.

Again, the action was brilliant. The two attempted a Spear at the same time and collided in a double-down spot. This gave Bryan an opening to hit both competitors with diving headbutts. We saw intense near-submissions from Daniel Bryan, a multitude of powerbombs from Roman Reigns, and pure grit from Edge.

The climax saw the WWE Hall of Famer Egde obliterate the other two with steel chairs, setting up for two con-chair-tos. He delivered one on Bryan, but was attacked by a re-emerging Jey Uso before he could hit Reigns.

The Rated-R Superstar speared Jey, but was taken out by Reigns who hit his own Spear. He then smashed Edge with a Con-chair-to. The Head of the Table dragged him over Bryan and pinned both men to retain the Universal Championship in the main event of WrestleMania.

What a statement Roman Reigns made! He's the undisputed face of the WWE. Everyone brought their absolute best here, but the dominant Universal Champion stood tall. The match was just as expected, a barnburner between three world-class stars that fit together perfectly.

Like WrestleMania Night One, the show peaked at the end. That's the ideal scenario. This was a classic all the way through and will likely be mentioned among some of the greatest main events in WrestleMania history.
