The Wyatt Sicks stunned fans when they were unmasked on tonight's episode of WWE RAW to fight off Chad Gable's new lackeys, The Creed Brothers. It was the first time any of the stable, Bo Dallas aside, had been unmasked outside video packages.
Chad Gable and The Creeds were attacking Alpha Academy's Otis and Akira Tozawa when the ominous piano tune played. Huskus the Pig Boy, Mercy the Buzzard, and Ramblin' Rabbit slowly made their way to the ring. It looked like it was set to be a three-on-three scrap when the trio removed their masks. They revealed their faces: Huskus—Joe Gacy, Mercy—Dexter Lumis, and Ramblin' — Erick Rowan.
That was before Abby the Witch (Nikki Cross) flew off the top rope onto Gable. The other three fought the Creeds while their new leader ran down the ramp.
Uncle Howdy emerged from the smoke onto the entrance ramp, with Gable scurrying further away. This was a significant moment in Wyatt Sicks' story, as it looks like they'll be competing as their original personalities.
The mysterious and vengeful stable looks set to embrace its dark side and don masks when necessary, such as during backstage attacks. WWE has done a masterful job of building the faction by telling a story about each individual's past.
The WWE Universe has learned about Bo Dallas, Erick Rowan, and Nikki Cross through VHS tapes. They receive therapy sessions from Uncle Howdy, but we await those from Joe Gacy and Dexter Lumis.
The faction has a dark side that comes out when wronged, and we now know who is under each mask. When they eventually lock horns with Chad Gable and The Creed Brothers, it promises to be an enthralling ride.
The Wyatt Sicks and Team Gable should fight it out at WWE Bad Blood after RAW altercation
As Bray Wyatt once famously sang in his FCW debut when first appearing as the character, 'Time is on my side,' and that's the case for Bo Dallas and his faction. The Wyatt Sicks' debut has been perfectly handled, and they are on a collision course with Chad Gable and his new group.
WWE chief content officer Triple H has proven that he's a stickler for long-term storytelling. Dallas' group has been no exception, as the seeds were planted for a feud with Gable when they first debuted on RAW over a month ago.
Gable has since formed his own faction with The Creed Brothers, but we still don't know Ivy Nile's intentions. That's a subplot to watch after Nikki Cross' aerial attack during tonight's RAW segment.
However, a three-on-three match looks increasingly likely after the altercation on WWE RAW. SummerSlam comes too soon (August 3), and Bash in Berlin (August 31) perhaps isn't big enough for such a match.
Triple H should use the hype around Bad Blood to book The Wyatt Sicks' in-ring debut. To settle the score, they could face Team Gable in a Hell in a Cell or Steel Cage match.
