6. Alberto Del Rio
Alberto definitely had a good year. He was the World Heavyweight Champion for the longest time, retained his title on many occasions, against stars such as Rob Van Dam, Christian and Big Show, ultimately losing it to John Cena, with whom he delivered another good match.
He was good both as a face and a heel. Many wouldn’t have noticed Alberto’s impact this year but his achievements and performance this year put him in the list.

5. The Shield
2013 was expected to be only a debut year for The Shield, but Ambrose, Reigns and Rollins emerged as the most dominating superstars in the WWE.
Not only they wrestled with the best in the WWE, but also brought them down and went on to win the Tag Team titles and the U.S. title. They are currently the best stable in the modern WWE era, and their winning the highest number of Slammy Awards proves this.
The group will eventually break up, but until then we can enjoy their awesome performances every night.
4. John Cena
Although, he couldn’t unify the titles at TLC, Cena still had a good year overall. He won the Royal Rumble, won the WWE Championship from The Rock at WrestleMania and won the Heavyweight Championship from Del Rio.
Despite staying out of action for some months, Cena had a championship around his waist for a major portion of the year and despite the boos he gets from the fans he is still the top contender for Orton’s title.
