Zachary Peter Gallen is an American professional baseball pitcher. He is currently signed to the Arizona Diamondbacks of Major League Baseball (MLB). Born August 3, 1995, in Somerdale, New Jersey, U.S., to parents Jim and Stacy Gallen, Gallen attended Bishop Eustace Preparatory School in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. Gallen enrolled in the Tri-state Arsenal Baseball Academy in New Jersey at the age of 11 to improve his skills as a pitcher and second baseman and continue his journey to the majors. He played college basketball for the North Carolina Tar Heels for three seasons.

Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the third round of the 2016 MLB draft, Gallen was subsequently traded to the Miami Marlins in 2017. He made his MLB debut with them in 2019. Gallen was then traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks in the middle of the 2019 season. He further agreed to a one-year, $5.6 million contract with them on January 13, 2023, to avoid salary arbitration. Gallen was named to his first All-Star Game in 2023, starting as a pitcher for the National League.
