History

Progress Wrestling(2016-219)

In July 2016, at a Progress Wrestling event in London, the Dunne Brothers faced Moustache Mountain. During the match, Pete and Trent Seven betrayed their partners, forming a new alliance called "British Strong Style." They later won the Progress Tag Team Championship from the London Riots. In a subsequent match for the vacant Progress World Championship, Pete enlisted Tyler Bate, who helped him win the title, expanding British Strong Style to a trio. Pete tried to pass his tag team title to Bate, but Progress management stripped them of the title. However, Bate and Seven won it back in a match against the London Riots and LDRS on 30 December.

In January 2017, members of British Strong Style entered a WWE tournament for the United Kingdom Championship, with Pete Dunne positioned as the main villain. Tyler Bate won the championship but later lost it to Dunne. Although WWE didn't acknowledge the stable, they integrated the championship into Progress storylines. British Strong Style faced off against Ringkampf, retaining their titles. They later lost the Progress Tag Team Championship to #CCK but regained it in a subsequent match. However, they eventually lost both titles to #CCK members. Following this, they turned face, with Dunne apologising for his past actions. Seven won the Progress Atlas Championship, and Dunne defeated Bate in a rematch, hinting at their full-time commitment to NXT UK and WWE.

Chikara(2017)

On 1 September 2017, a team called British Strong Style, known as "House Strong Style," joined the 2017 King of Trios competition, held by the American Chikara promotion in Wolverhampton. They won their first match against House Whitewolf (A-Kid, Adam Chase, and Zayas), then defeated House Throwbacks (Dasher Hatfield, Mark Angelosetti, and Simon Grimm) in the quarterfinals. In the semifinals, their opponents, House Rot, had to forfeit, allowing House Strong Style to move forward. On 3 September, they faced off against House Sendai Girls (Cassandra Miyagi, Dash Chisako, and Meiko Satomura) in the finals and emerged victorious, clinching the 2017 King of Trios title.

WWE NXT UK(2018-2022)

The group, originally called British Strong Style, included Dunne, Bate, and Trent Seven, who previously worked for WWE in NXT UK until Seven's release in August 2022. After Roderick Strong betrayed Pete Dunne at NXT TakeOver: New Orleans, Dunne hinted at the stable's return on Instagram. During WrestleMania Axxess weekend in April, Bate and Seven lost an NXT Tag Team Championship match to Strong and Kyle O'Reilly and were then attacked by The Undisputed Era. Dunne came to their rescue, reuniting the group for the first time in WWE. It was later announced that Dunne, Bate, and Seven would face The Undisputed Era on the first night of the second annual United Kingdom Championship Tournament in June 2018.

British Strong Style triumphed over The Undisputed Era on 18 June. The next day, Bate and Seven secured their first NXT Tag Team Championship by defeating O'Reilly and Strong, while Dunne retained his WWE United Kingdom Championship against Zack Gibson. This made all members of British Strong Style WWE champions. However, Bate and Seven lost the titles to O'Reilly and Strong two days later. At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn 4, they couldn't reclaim the titles from The Undisputed Era, although Dunne retained his against Gibson once more. The group disbanded in late July 2022 following Seven's release from WWE.

WWE Smackdown Brand(2024-Present)

Tyler Bate moved to the SmackDown brand and reunited with Dunne, now known as Butch in The Brawling Brutes, at SmackDown: New Year's Revolution on 5 January 2024. They defeated Pretty Deadly in a tag team match. Dunne resumed his original name two weeks later. On the 16 February episode of SmackDown, the duo was renamed New Catch Republic. They won the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship Contender Series but couldn't defeat The Judgment Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) for the titles at Elimination Chamber at Perth, Australia.
