AEW has many former WWE Superstars. Some are fully adjusted to their new surroundings and have made the company their new home, while some are yet to acclimatize. That is natural and nothing serious.
There have been many instances where the stars have openly spoken about their experiences in WWE and how they are now better off in All Elite Wrestling. Some stars even said they don't care about a potential entry into the Hall of Fame.
In this article, we will look at three AEW stars who have no interest in going into the WWE Hall of Fame.
#3. Chris Jericho
Chris Jericho has been with AEW for a very long time, and his time with the WWE seems like a distant memory now. He has reinvented himself in his new surroundings and lifted various titles, including the AEW and FTW Championships.
Top name doesn't want to enter the WWE Hall of Fame. More details HERE.
One would think that despite all this, he would like to go back to WWE someday. However, that was not the case, as he revealed in an interview in 2020 with the Tampa Bay Times. He said:
“If I continue to work for the Khan family for the rest of my life, I’ll never go into the WWE Hall of Fame,” he says. “Does that bother me? No. I mean, the S** Pistols didn’t show up for theirs. I always kind of liked that."
Last year, in a conversation with Chris Van Vliet, The Learning Tree further denounced the idea of a Hall of Fame, as you can see above. Considering Jericho was with WWE for years, his words come as a shock to many.
#2. Bryan Danielson
Bryan Danielson has come a long way since he announced his first retirement in WWE. He left the company in 2021, signed up with AEW, and is now a household name there. He is also set to take on Swerve Strickland for the world title at All In.
Recently, in an interview with the Gorilla Position, Danielson said that he was not interested in outside accolades.
"But I love where I'm at now. And I'm also not under contract. Realistically, I think I just wanna be free. You know, that's kind of.. I just wanna be free. [In response to whether a Hall of Fame ring could entice him] I mean, I have no interest in outside accolades. None, none whatsoever," he said.
Danielson's upcoming match at All In has stipulated to put his career on the line.
#1. AEW's patriarch Christian Cage
Christian Cage is the hottest heel in AEW right now, and he leaves no stone unturned when it comes to making his presence felt. He did that when asked if he was interested in a WWE Hall of Fame induction.
In trademark fashion, The Patriarch debunked the idea that he could be interested in it. Speaking to Steel City Con, he said:
"I could give two s**ts about the Hall of Fame. When there actually is a Hall of Fame, let me know. Is there an actual Hall of Fame?"
Christian Cage being in character even outside the promotion will never be topped.
