He worked in New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) for five years. He won titles like the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Heavyweight Championship with other titles. He was once the leader of the group "Bullet Club". Early Life

Omega's attention was caught up by wrestling after he witnessed one of his friends start taking wrestling training at Top Rope Championship Wrestling (TRCW). He ended up his ice hockey profession and started training under the mentorship of Bobby Jay who he met during his IGA days. Omega made his wrestling debut in 2000 one year after completion of the training. He invented his present nickname as a gimmick during the two years while he was wrestling for TRCW. He dropped out of college in the first year to follow wrestling as a full-time profession.

Professional Wrestling Career

Kenny Omega started wrestling in the free circuit Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW) in 2001. During his independent circuit career, Omega worked for numerous promotions nationally and Internationally. He was active in those advancements till 2011. He signed with AEW in the year 2019 for four years. He won his first AEW title, the AEW World Tag Team Championship in 2020 after teaming up with Adam Page. He defeated his former tag team partner Adam Page to win the number one competitor for the AEW World Title. Omega won his first World Title in AEW the next year after beating Jon Moxley. He won the inaugural AEW World Trios Championship tournament after teaming up with The Young Bucks at AEW All Out 2022. He is currently working with the Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide at the same time.
