Tyson Smith popularly known as Kenny Omega is a Canadian Professional Wrestler, who is currently signed with All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and appears in NJPW, Impact Wrestling and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide by partnership with AEW. He is not only a wrestler, but also an Executive Vice-President of AEW. Omega is known for his time in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) where he was the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion and IWGP United States Champion. He is also a former leader of the most popular wrestling faction “Bullet Club” in NJPW.

Omega started his professional wrestling career in 2001 and made his debut at the Premier Championship Wrestling (PCW). He wrestled for various independent wrestling promotions throughout his career, notably World League Wrestling, Deep South Wrestling, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, DDT Pro-Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, and others.

Omega had multiple appearances in NJPW before signing a full-time contract with the company from 2008-2014. He signed a full time contract with NJPW in 2014 and became IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion on the go. He lost the title to Kushida and regained the championship following an interference by the Bullet Club Member, Karl Anderson. He lost the title in a few days and was inserted into the tag team match by teaming with Bullet Club leader AJ Styles and won. After the match, Bullet Club turned against Styles and announced Omega as the leader of the stable. He was successful as the leader and won the IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship and IWGP Heavyweight Championship. After losing his championship and raising internal tensions in the Bullet Club, Omega left NJPW in 2019.

In 2019, Kenny Omega signed a multi-year contract with AEW and has been announced as an Executive Vice-President of the company. He competed in the inaugural event, Double or Nothing and lost against Chris Jericho. Kenny Omega is highly successful joining AEW, where he won AEW World Championship once, AEW World Tag Team Championship once and AEW Trios Championship twice. He extended his success by appearing on other wrestling promotions including Impact Wrestling, NJPW and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide and coveted their championships while wrestling for AEW. He won IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship from NJPW, Impact World Championship from Impact Wrestling, AAA Mega Championship from Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide.

Kenny Omega is using “One Winged Angel” as his primary finishing move to finish his opponents. Where he lifts his opponents over his shoulder with one leg on the front, grabs the back of the neck and slams his opponent to the ground. He is a great fan of video games where almost all the moves and entrance music have video game references. He named his finisher as One Winged Arrow as a reference to Final Fantasy VII video game’s Sephiroth character. His signature move V-Trigger is a reference to a technique used in Street Fighter V video games. He adopts a striking wrestling style that involves multiple knee strikes, suplexes and powerslams. He is one of the greatest wrestling talents, where he was involved in a number of best matches, which won multiple Match of Year Awards. He is ranked No.1 male singles wrestler by PWI in 2018 and 2021.
