On this week's SmackDown, Tiffany Stratton became the WWE Women’s Champion by successfully cashing in her Money in the Bank contract on Nia Jax. This is her first title win on the main roster since her promotion from NXT.
The Buff Barbie signed with WWE in 2021 and went on to become a massive star in NXT. In May 2023, she became the NXT Women's Champion by defeating Lyra Valkyria in the finals of an eight-woman single-elimination tournament. The 25-year-old joined SmackDown in February 2024 and became Ms. Money in the Bank after winning the multi-woman Ladder Match at the titular PLE in Canada in July.
After several teases, Tiffany finally cashed in her contract last night on SmackDown. Later, she posted several pictures with the title on her Instagram. Stratton's victory has received widespread attention from fans and veterans. Several wrestlers on social media showed their support for her accomplishment, including numerous AEW stars like Deonna Purrazzo, Abadon, Anna Jay, and more.

Dutch Mantell has one complaint regarding Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's Championship win
After The Buff Barbie defeated Nia Jax and captured the WWE Women's Championship on SmackDown, industry veteran Dutch Mantell appeared on Sportskeeda Wrestling's Smack Talk.
The veteran explained that he enjoyed how the Stamford-based company presented the 25-year-old's story. However, his only complaint was that this angle was quite convoluted.
"Did the fans like it? No matter how convoluted it is, at the end, did they like it? If they don't like it you're not gonna have any business. But they liked it. Everybody knew it was coming. I have the same complaint. It takes them forever to finally pull the trigger on something. And when they do, they're sure that it's going to work. I think they did a great job tonight. Executed well. I think this is nothing but a winner. I'll have to give this an A tonight," he said. [From 12:50 onwards]
