Mikasa Ackerman is the supporting character in the Attack on Titan manga/series. She is one of the two deuteragonists in the series. Mikasa belongs to a warrior bloodline who once served Eldia’s King. After the bloodline’s near extinction, Mikasa is one of the only two people remaining from the Ackerman’s clan in the series.

Mikasa’s Life

Mikasa was born to an Asian mother and her father belonged to the Ackerman bloodline. She lived with her parents peacefully in the farmlands of Wall Maria. That peace was short-lived after her parents were slain by a bunch of human traffickers, who planned on abducting and selling Mikasa. She was rescued by Eren Yeager when he was visiting Mikasa’s place with his father Grisha Yeager.

After her bare escape from the kidnappers, Mikasa shifted and started living with the Yeagers inside Wall Maria. Following the destruction of the Wall Maria, Mikasa, Eren, and Armin enlisted in the army and joined the 104th Training Corps. Having natural warrior blood and exceptional fighting skills, she was ranked first in the class of the 104th Training Corps graduation.

Eventually, Mikasa grew stronger and faster as she fought countless titans. Soon, she became one of the members of the Scout Regiment alongside Eren and the others. With every battle going hand in hand, Mikasa always ensured protecting Eren at any cost until it became evident that Eren’s ways of protecting Eldia were unjust as it would wipe out the majority of the world’s population. In the end, the irony grew stronger and she had to behead Eren to save the world from rumbling.

Mikasa’s Abilities

Belonging to the Ackerman clan, Mikasa has "awakened" a passive power during the time of her parents' murder. It means "knowing exactly what needed to be done," the development of combat reflexes, and flawless bodily self-control that exceeds that of a normal person. She has limited access to the Power of the Titans without having to transform. She can learn from Ackerman’s fighting experiences by connecting with all of those who came before her through the paths. She can also withstand the Founding Titan's power to manipulate memories.

She is immensely skilled at using vertical manoeuvring equipment, and she can quickly and effectively strike and slice Titans with blades. She has been frequently referred to as a military genius and as "as valuable as a hundred average soldiers." She also mastered the usage of advanced weaponry within a short period of time.

Mikasa trained herself from an early age to be a skilled fighter. She frequently threw males bigger than her easily and they would often flee when they saw her. Mikasa's extensive training resulted in her being powerful enough to effortlessly carry multiple equipment boxes and people off the ground.
