The scenario that happened with Nina Tucker and her dog (Alexander) is one of the most horrific and heartbreaking scenes in anime. Nina Tucker was the young daughter of famous Alchemist Shou Tucker (“Sewing-Life Alchemist), who was able to produce a chimera that could talk a bit like a human. Alexander was Nina’s pet dog. The series protagonists, the Elric brothers, visited Shou to talk more about alchemy and get any clue about the Philosopher’s Stone and alchemy so they might get their bodies back. They met with Nina and Alexander, who started liking them. Nina called Edward Elric Big Brother, and the dog also loved to be around him.

What happened with Nina and her Dog (Alexander) in Fullmetal Alchemist?
Nina's father, Shou, experimented on her and her dog to produce a Chimera. When the Elric brothers visited Shou's house the next day, they saw a new Chimera and realized that Shou had turned the dog and Nina into a Chimera, which made them heartbroken. Shou was kept in jail while Chimera was shot dead so the souls of Nina and the dog could live free. It gave a shock to the fans.
Shou used to experiment with his wife, which is why she disappeared in the same month. He produced another Chimera, which gave him the State Alchemist’s License for two years.
