Kaiju no. 9 Abilities and Powers

Abilities

  • Keen Intellect: Even for a kaiju, Kaiju No. 9 has shown to be an exceptionally intelligent creature. Its cunning and intelligence combine to make him a formidable threat to the Defense Force. He can go from changing into a human to blend in undetected to focusing on particular officers to undermine the ranks of the force.

  • Hand-to-Hand Combatant: Despite being past his peak, he possesses considerable talent in hand-to-hand combat and was able to defeat Isao physically despite molting twice. Upon assimilation, he obtained the Commander's combat expertise and hand-to-hand fighting skills, making him a formidable opponent.

With a fortitude level of 8.5 when it initially surfaced, Kaiju No. 9 is among the strongest kaiju that have been seen in the series. It was able to withstand Kaiju No. 8's powerful attacks, stall and nearly kill two skilled Defence Force members, and then escape the scene undetected. Kaiju No. 9 operates like a virus and is known to be a major threat to the Defense Force. After taking Kaiju No. 2's power, No. 9 is said to be the newly crowned King of Kaiju.

Powers

Kaiju no. 9 possesses immense speed, reflexes, strength and durability. Here is a list of his powers that have been deduced so far:

  • Shapeshifting: Kaiju No. 9 can fully transform its appearance, giving it a complete different human form than its original monstorous form. It can also use its shapeshifting powers to hide and manifest its eyes, grow extra limbs at will and even mold into a new powerful version. Its shapeshifting powers allow it to completely stretch, transform and extend its body.

  • Detachment: Its preferred method of attack appears to be firing large portions of its body from its index finger at a speed that may harm opponents through their Defense Force suit. Nonetheless, it gets a little bit simpler to avoid this attack if someone can predict when it will happen. When it is in human form, its accuracy is less.

  • Metamorphosis: It might assume the appearance of the creatures it consumes, most frequently humans. It can also shed its skin and molt into a better, more muscular version of itself.

  • Memory Assimilation: It can absorb human appearances and memories through absorption.

  • Fusion: To transform into a more potent form, Kaiju No. 9 can combine its body with that of a new kaiju. Due to this ability, it can combine with both weak Yoju creatures like Ant-Types and strong Daikaiju like Kaiju No. 2, even if the latter was modified to become a weapon.

  • Duplication: It can make identical copies of itself just as strong as the original. It calls the two copies of itself, Beta and Gamma.

  • Flight: Kaiju no. 9 can fly by manifesting wings.

  • Healing Powers: The healing powers of Kaiju No. 9 apply to it as well as other kaiju.

  • Resurrection: It can raise the dead kaiju to life, making them more powerful than before they died. It wears it out, though, so there's a limit to how many kaiju it can revive.

  • Regeneration: It is capable of self-healing from wounds to the extent that, after being beheaded, it can even sprout a new head. Its regeneration can be overcome and severely slowed down by several powerful punches.

  • Kaiju Creation: Kaiju No. 9 can create additional Kaiju by itself, and through unexplained means, it can even build a "prototype" that is just as powerful as Kaiju No. 10.

  • Kaiju-kinesis: With the unusual ability to move kaiju corpses with its thoughts, it can stop foes or deflect assaults by utilizing them as a barrage.

  • Camouflage Space: It has demonstrated the capacity to generate regions that block radio frequencies and vital signals, making it impossible for outsiders to enter or locate them, and preventing their prey from fleeing unless they so choose.

  • Energy Attacks: It can unleash very lethal energy attacks from its mouth in the shape of lightning after uniting with Kaiju No. 2

  • Force Shield: It can create a force shield to defend itself against long-range attacks by using the might of Kaiju No. 2.Not only that, but he could use it to keep his core intact.

Fighting Style

After consuming Isao Shinomiya, Kaiju No. 9 received complete access to his memories and the capacity to carry out his perfected Squadron Style Combat Technique combined with the power he gained from taking the weaponized Kaiju No. 2. This allows one to oppose the identical strategies that were used against him.
