Noah Lyles is an American Track and Field sprinter who has been a regular name on the podium of sprinting events. He holds the record for the least time taken by an American to cover a 200-metre sprint at 19.31 seconds. Lyles has given exceptional performances when it comes to the World Athletic Championships. He won two gold medals in the 2019 Doha Championship in 200 m and 4x100 m relay. In the 2022 Eugune edition, he grabbed the gold medal in the 200 m race and a silver in the 4x100 m relay.

He stunned the world with his impressive performances in the 2023 Budapest Championship winning the gold in 100 m, 200m, and the 4x100 m relay. With three gold in the 200 m category, he is only behind the iconic Usain Bolt, who has won four gold in the category at the World Championships. Lyles’ prowess has also been evident in the Olympic Games, where he won the Bronze medal in his favorite 200 m category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Noah Lyles is from the United States of America and was born in Gainsville, Florida. Soon after, the family moved to Alexandria, Virginia. As an American sprinter, he has represented the United States in numerous international competitions, including the World Championships and the Olympics.

Where did Noah Lyles Grow Up?

Noah Lyles grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, a city just across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C. He was born into an athletic family with a rich athletic background. His father, Kevin Lyles, was a sprinter who competed for Seton Hall University and won a gold medal in the 4x400 meter relay at the 1995 World Championships. His mother, Keisha Caine, was also a track and field athlete competing for Seton Hall University. He also has a younger brother Josephus Lyles, who also is a professional track and field sprinter.

Noah and Josephus both attended T.C. Williams High School or Alexandria City High School in Alexandria, Virginia. He represented the USA at the 2014 Youth Olympics. Lyles fell short of the 2016 Olympics qualification and instead went on to win a couple of gold medals at the 2016 World U20 Championships. After graduating from high school, Noah and Josephus made the decision to refrain from signing up for collegiate competitions. While Lyles did commit to Florida Gators at the University of Florida, the brothers eventually decided to turn professional. In 2016, Noah signed a sponsorship deal with Adidas and started his professional track and field career.
