2016 German Open: PV Sindhu,Parupalli Kashyap move into the next round

PV Sindhu got off to a good start

PV Sindhu got her German Open campaign off to a good start, defeating Rong Schafer in straight games 21-11 21-13 to move into the second round. Parupalli Kashyap also had a smooth sailing into Round 3 after beating Joshua Magee 21-12 21-11.

Like the case against Takuma Ueda in his first round match, Kidambi Srikanth was once again made to sweat in his second round match against Erik Meijs of Netherlands 15-21 21-6 21-16 to move into Round 3.

Manu Attri and Sumeeth Reddy also had a tough opening match, but eventually pulled through to beat Chris Langridge and Marcus Ellis, 21-16 19-21 21-17 to move into the next round.

The only disappointment of the day was Sameer Verma, who lost a hard-fought match to Lee Dong Keun 8-21 21-19 21-19 in the second round.
