India’s Saina Nehwal succumbed yet again to Tzu Ying Tai of Chinese Taipei, this time in the semi-final of the Malaysia Super Series Premier.losing in straight games 21-19 21-13 on Saturday.
Right from the opening point, it seemed like it was to be an uphill task for the Indian, as she found herself 0-7 down and 11-3 at the interval.However, after she conjured some much-needed fight, winning 11 out of the next 20 points to make 14-20, before winning 5 points straight to make it 19-20. But just when it mattered the most, the Indian failed to hold her nerve and lost the game 21-19, courtesy a fine cross-court drop shot from her opponent.
The second game started off on a much more even note as both players exchanged leads but the tide began to shift towards Tzu's way from the 6-6 mark, as she started to chip away with the points, leading 11-9 at the break, before winning 10 out of the next 14points to win the game 21-13 and inflict a 7th straight defeat on the Indian.
