The BWF Arctic Open has begun today and India has some exciting names at the competition. After a small competitive hiatus following the Paris Olympics, singles stars Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu will return to the court in Finland, and their comebacks will be one of the biggest talking points.

Sen's efforts in Paris saw him become the first Indian men's singles player to make it to the semifinals. The youngster failed to medal at the Games but was phenomenal in the early rounds. Indian fans would be eager to see the 23-year-old get back to winning ways.

The Indian men's singles continent in Finland also features Kiran George and Sathish Kumar Karunakaran, the latter of whom failed to make it past the qualification rounds.

For PV Sindhu, the BWF World Tour Super 500 will offer a chance at redemption after a lukewarm performance at the Olympics. Sindhu failed to make it past the group-stage matches for the first time in her career.

Joining her will be Malvika Bansod, Aakarshi Kashyap and Unnati Hooda, with Bansod being the one to watch out for after her impressive run at the China Open.

India's women’s doubles team consists of the pairing of Rutuparna Panda/Swetaparna Panda, while Sathish Kumar Karunakaran/Aadya Variyath are in action in the mixed doubles. The nation has no representation in the men's doubles event.
