After nearly a month-long hiatus, some of India's best shuttlers will return to action at the 2024 Japan Masters. The tournament boasts entries from the top international players and is guaranteed to treat fans to unforgettable action.

The Indian contingent competing in Japan consists of singles stars Lakshya Sen and PV Sindhu as well as the doubles duo of Treesa Jolly and Gayathri Gopichand. The last time the three were in action was at the Denmark Open in mid-October

For Sen, the outing in Japan will be an opportunity to redeem himself after an opening-round loss in Denmark last month. The 23-year-old will take on Malaysia’s Leong Jun Hao in his first match in Japan, but his draw quickly gets complicated. A potential run-in with Anthony Sinisuka Ginting and Kodai Naraoka awaits the Indian in the round of 16 and the quarterfinals.

For PV Sindhu, her campaign opener in Kumamoto will take place against eighth seed Busana Ongbamrungphan. The two-time Olympic medalist had a promising run in Denmark and will hope to build on that momentum here.

Last but not least, the doubles duo of Treesa Jolly and Gayathri Gopichand will begin their time at the Super 500 against Chinese Taipei's Hsu Yin-Hui/Lin Jhih Yun. They will likely face second seeds Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning in their next round.
