In the second semi-final match of the Men’s Doubles category in Swiss International, the pair of Pranaav Jerry Chopra and Akshay Dewalkar was unable to take the Indian challenge forward to the Finals of the category.
The Indian duo was up against the French opposition in this encounter. The French pair of Lucas Corvee and Brice Leverdez was too hot for the Indian pair to handle.
In the first game of this semi-final match, the Indian pair didn’t get a good start as the French pair was leading with a good margin. Chopra and Dewalkar tried to make a comeback in the match and levelled the score 10-10. After that, it was the French turn to score consecutive points and steal the game by 21-18.
Almost same story repeated in the second game, where Lucas and Brice dominated the complete game with no difficulties. After 1-1 on the board, the French pair didn’t let the Indian duo to even level the score. It was an absolutely one-sided fight between the opponents as the French pair of Lucas and Brice took away the game by 21-16.
This way, Lucas and Brice have registered their slot in the Finals of the Men’s Doubles category.
Earlier, in the first semi-final of the category, it was the pair of Daniel Benz (Germany) and Kwong Beng Chan (Malaysia) to finish the Indonesian challenge in the Swiss International 2013. The match proved to be a good fight between the opponents and lasted for 42 minutes.
Chan and Benz had a tight battle with the Indonesian pair of Christopher Rusdianto and Trikusuma Wardhana in the first game. After 16-16 score on the board, Chan and Benz took away the game by 21-19.
In the next game, it was the Indonesian pair to dominate Chan and Benz. Rusdianto and Wardhana displayed a decent show on the court and pummelled the opponents by 21-10 to take the semi-final clash till the third game.
The third game was evenly balanced at the beginning when the score was levelled to 12-12. But in the final phase of the match, Chan and Benz displayed an excellent show to bag the final game by 21-17.
In the final clash of the Men’s Doubles category, the French pair of Lucas Corvee and Brice Leverdez will lock horns with the pair of Daniel Benz and Kwong Beng Chan.
