Indian doubles badminton star Jwala Gutta to do dance number for Telugu film

The glam girl of Indian badminton Jwala Gutta, who is taking a sabbatical from competitive action, will now let her dancing moves do the talking.

The seasoned southpaw shuttler has stepped into the the tinsel town and will soon be seen shaking a leg in a dance number for a Telugu film ‘Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde (GJG)’.

Jwala will be doing the peppy dance number opposite good friend Nithin in the film, which is the directorial venture of Vijay Kumar Konda.

The reigning Commonwealth Games gold medalist last represented the country at the 2012 London Olympics, where she, along with Ashwini Ponnappa, were unlucky not to make the women’s doubles quarterfinals despite performing better than those who made the cut.

Jwala decided to take a break from competitive action as she has been playing continuously for the last 6-7 years.

The 2011 world championship bronze medalist had only recently started training after the long break.
