Basel, March 11 (IANS): Rising Indian shuttler Kidambi Srikanth suffered a disappointing loss at the hands of Swedish Henri Hurskainen in the men’s singles first round of the Swiss Open Grand Prix Gold here Tuesday.
The World No. 42 Swede upset the fifth-seeded Indian 19-21, 21-18, 21-17 in 53 minutes in their first ever match which took place at the St. Jakobshalle.
Mumbai’s Anand Pawar and third seed Parupalli Kashyap will play their respective matches later.
