After a three-month hiatus, Srikanth Kidambi is finally returning to the BWF World Tour Circuit at the Macau Open. The Indian last competed at the Singapore Open in May, where he retired midway through his opening match against Japan's Kodai Naraoka.

For Kidambi, 2024 has been a forgettable year so far. The Indian had failed to make it past the first and second round of most of the tournaments he's played in, save for a semifinal appearance at the Swiss Open in March.

After failing to qualify for the Paris Olympics, Srikanth Kidambi was playing at the Singapore Open, where a recurring knee injury forced him to retire from his match against Naraoka. The former World No. 1 hasn't been seen on court since, but will be back to action tomorrow, September 25, playing at the Macau Open.

The tournament is a Super 300 one, and Kidambi is expected to make it past his opening rounds with ease. His Round-of-32 match on Wednesday is against Daniil Dubovenko, and a win will see him run into Alap Mishra or Ayush Shetty in his next match.

How to watch Srikanth Kidambi live at the Macau Open

Outside of Kidambi, India's men's singles contingent at the Macau Open includes Mithun Manjunath, Sameer Verma, Alap Mishra, Ayush Shetty, Sankar Muthusamy, and Chirag Sen.

In the women's singles event, the nation will be represented by Anupama Upadhyay, Tanya Hemanth, Tasnim Mir, Devika Sihag, and Isharani Baruah.

India's doubles challenge in China includes the pairs of Treesa Jolly/Gayathri Gopichand, Apoorva Gahlawat/Sakshi Gahlawat, Ruthvika Gadde/Sikki Reddy, as well as the mixed doubles duos of Rohan Kapoor/Ruthvika Gadde and Sumeeth Reddy/Sikki Reddy.
