The second day of Thomas Cup 2024 saw interesting results and outcomes. A total of 16 teams are participating in the ongoing campaign with four teams divided into four groups.

Group A
Moving to Group A, South Korea defeated Australia by 5-0 to continue their second rank with two points. On the other hand, China secured a 5-0 commanding win over Canada to consolidate their top spot.
Shi Yuqi, Li Shifeng, and Weng Hongyang secured wins for China in the singles category while Liang-Wang and Jiting-Ren bagged important wins in the doubles events.
Group B
In Group B, Japan registered a 5-0 comprehensive win over the Czech Republic to make it to the top spot in the tally. Meanwhile, Chinese Taipei bagged a 4-1 win over Germany to make it to the third rank.
Kenta Nishimoto, Koki Watanabe, and Kento Momota secured wins in the singles events while Akira-Taichi and Kenya-Hiroki bagged victories in the doubles category.
Group C
In Group C, there were no matches scheduled on April 28, Sunday. Indonesia and India continue to stay in the top two positions with one point each while Thailand and England are yet to bag a win.
Group D
Shifting our focus to Group D, Denmark secured a 5-0 win over Hong Kong. In the other contest, Malaysia also bagged a 5-0 comprehensive win over Algeria. Denmark is right on top while Malaysia is in second rank.
World no.1 shuttler from Denmark, Viktor Axelsen bagged a hard-fought win over Lee Cheuk by 21-14, 18-21, and 21-19. Anders Antonsen and Rasmus Gemke also bagged wins in the singles category. Kim-Anders and Rasmus-Frederik bagged wins in the doubles events.
