India’s Parupalli Kashyap crashed out in the opening round of the 2015 Australian Open after losing a marathon three-game match 26-24 18-21 22-20 to 6th seed Wang Zhengming of China.
Game 1 saw an absolutely riveting contest between the Indian and Chinese, but it was Kashyap who came out trumps, winning more number of number consecutive points as compared to his opponent and also converting his game points to take the opening game 26-24.

The Chinese made a fine comeback into the match in the second game, winning 6 consecutive points as compared to Kashyap’s 3 to win the game 21-18 and make it one game apiece.
With the match set to head into the decider, the pressure was now on Kashyap to make a strong comeback himself, but despite putting in a brave fight, he succumbed to the pressure and the lost the game 22-20 and with that the match as well.
