India’s Sai Praneeth continued his exceptional run at the US Open Grand Prix Gold after he progressed through to the semifinals by beating Ka Long Angus of Hong Kong in straight games 21-8 21-14 in just 32 minutes on Friday.
Game 1 saw the Indian dominate proceedings as he blazed away to a 6-2 early lead and the maintained that big lead throughout to take the opening by a whopping 21-8 margin.

The second game saw Sai once again race away to a blazing start, winning the first 5 points to go 5-0 up and then, like the opening game, not letting the game slip away from his grasp and eventually sealing the game and the match to move into the final 4 stage of the tournament.
Sai, though, will probably face the biggest test of his career in the semifinals whe he takes on former World No.1 Lee Chong Wei of Malaysia.
