Saina Nehwal comfortably strolled past Natalia Perminova of Russia in their second round encounter of the badminton world championships in Denmark. Nehwal, world number seven, won in straight sets (21-11, 21-9). She dispatched her opponent is just over 30 minutes, displaying her fine form throughout the match.
Nehwal won nine consecutive points in the second game and will now face the winner of Petya Nedelcheva and 13th seed Sayaka Takahashi in the third round.
