Saina Nehwal reaches the final of the Indonesian Open

Saina Nehwal, India’s most successful Badminton player so far, is now just a step away from scripting another success story for herself as well as for India. Saina sealed a place in the finals of the Indonesian Open Superseries Premier 2011 after beating Shao chie Cheng of Chinese Taipei by 21-14, 14-21 and 21-17. the semi final match between Saina and Cheng lasted for 45 minutes. Saina had lost to Chieh Cheng in the Singapore Open last week in the second round.

Saina Nehwal is now on the verge of successfully defending the Indonesian Open title that she had won last year too. In fact, Saina will make hat-trick if she wins the title this year.

In the Semi final, Saina won the 1st game convincingly but the second game saw a fight back by Cheng who won the game by 21-14. The 3rd game was close encounter which Saina managed to win to win the match.

Saina will meet Yihan Wang in the finals who defeated Yanjio Jiang in the other semi final. Saina is seeded 4th while Yihan Wang is 3rd seed in the tournament. The final will be played tomorrow.
