One of India's premier badminton players, Saina Nehwal was seen donning the coach's role for the first time as she tutored Bollywood superstar Shraddha Kapoor through the badminton basics which was captured on a video that Shraddha posted on her Instagram handle.
The ace badminton player was seen teaching Shraddha the firsts on how to serve after which Shraddha seemed to deliver a good serve, much to the delight of coach Saina. A couple of days earlier, Saina took to her Twitter account where she posted a picture alongside coach Pullella Gopichand and Shraddha Kapoor while mentioning the training had already started in light of the upcoming biopic.
Accepting that the training ahead of the shoot for the movie will be very challenging and rigorous, the actress also went on to emphasize on the contributions of Saina Nehwal's achievements to Indian sport and said she was very proud to bag the role.
The former world no.1 player has more than 20 international titles to her name and when she claimed the No.1 singles rank in 2015, she became the first Indian woman to do so. Saina won the bronze medal in the 2012 London Olympics and is also a Padma Bhushan awardee, an honor she received in 2016 in addition to the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award and the Arjuna Award.
In the biopic, Shraddha will be portraying Saina's journey and the movie is going to be directed by Amol Gupte and produced by Bhushan Kumar.
