What's the story?
Saina Nehwal will be the next Indian sportsperson to have a biopic made on her and the actor chosen to portray her is Shraddha Kapoor. The filmstar was in Hyderabad last weekend for a shoot and met the badminton star, while also training with her.
She revealed what the star shuttler taught her during their time together. “Saina gave me very basic tips on playing badminton. I played a little with her. She upgraded my knowledge about the game, especially about the shots."
'Saina told me that each and every shot needs to be hit as hard as possible. Never hit any shot without your full strength,” she told the Deccan Chronicle.

Kapoor is currently shooting for her film Saaho and awaiting the release of Haseena. She also joined the shuttler in training for a few days and even spent time with Pullela Gopichand.
Nehwal is a former world number one player and is the first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal, which came at the 2012 London Olympics.
The heart of the matter
When Shraddha posted images of her and the badminton star recently, many fans began to make comparisons between the two. One even said that the two looked like sisters!
The actor dropped by at Saina's house and met her family. Saina told her to know the game thoroughly and that is how she will get better at the game.
Later in the day, Shraddha was shown Saina's plethora of medals, a picture of which she posted on social media.
She even had the honour of training under Pullela Gopichand for the role of Saina. She said that she was lucky to get to play the role of someone who is not only the former world number one, but also a youth icon.
Saina too showered plenty of praise towards the Mumbai actor. She said that she was a very talented actress and very hardworking. and she was confident that she would do justice to her character.
What Next?
In Kapoor's latest film, she plays the sister of mafia don Dawood Ibrahim. For Nehwal, her next tournament is the Japan Open Super Series.
