3.Indonesia

The country to have won the Thomas Cup the maximum number of times, Indonesia will once again come to the competition with a competent squad.

Leading the way in the Men’s Singles will be World No.8 Tommy Sugiarto, who will be assisted by the young Jonathan Christie, who impressed one-and-all at the Sudirman Cup last year.

Anthony Ginting and Ihsan Mustofa will complete an impressive looking Men’s Singles contingent.

However, it is in the Doubles that the Indonesians are likely to be really dangerous with the pairing of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan capable of beating the best in the world and most teams would certainly be weary of this combination.

Indonesia are grouped with India, Hong Kong and Thailand in Group B.

4.Chinese Taipei

Led by World No.7 Chou Tien Chen, the Chinese Taipei squad will have their task cut out in the competition and will need him to play a critical role if they are to progress. Giving him company will be Hsu Jen Hao and Tzu Wei Wang who will need to lift their games if they are to be competitive.

They are grouped with New Zealand, Denmark and South Africa in Group D.
