China’s Wang Shixian, who defeated Saina Nehwal in the quarterfinals of the 2015 Australian Open, progressed to the finals of the competition, after handing Bae Yeon Ju of South Korea a 19-21 16-21 defeat in the semifinals.
Game 1 saw both players match point for point with the Chinese winning 4 consecutive points as compared to the Korean’s 3 but as is the case with all tight contests it boils down to who comes out trumps in the crucial moments and it was the Wang, who converted her lone game point opportunity to take the lead in the match.

The second Game saw the Korean take an early 5-1 lead, but couldn't maintain that advantage as Wang tried to narrow down the lead. The critical juncture in the match, though came when Wang won 6 points on the trot to go 16-9 up after she was 9-10 down.
That surge of points virtually ended all hopes for Bae and she eventually succumbed 21-16 in the second game. She will now face Spain’s Carolina Marin in the finals.
