India’s top ranked men’s singles player Parupalli Kashyap moved up one spot to be placed 20th in the latest World Badminton Federation (WBF) rankings released today.
The Hyderabadi lad retired hurt at the recent Hong Kong Open and Macau Open tournaments respectively.
In the women’s singles, Saina Nehwal clings on to her number three ranking, while PV Sindhu advanced one spot to be ranked 23rd.
Among the other Indians in the men’s singles, Ajay Jayaram moved up one place to be 31st, while Sourabh Varma continues to hold last week’s ranking of 34.
RMV Gurusaidutt fell one spot to be at 43rd, while Anand Pawar slipped three places to be 52nd. B Sai Praneeth retained his last week’s ranking of 66.
K Srikanth, who surged 28 places last week, dropped one spot to 82nd, while Arvind Bhat and HS Pranoy moved up one spot to be placed 88th and 92nd respectively.
Among the other Indians, Anup Sridhar slipped two spots to be ranked 106, while Chetan Anand dropped three places to be ranked 134.
Among the other Indian women, Neha Pandit fell three spots to be ranked 98th, while Arundhati Pantawane slipped three places to be ranked 102nd.
Tanvi Lad dropped two places to be at 112th while PC Thulasi fell three spots to be at 107th.
