Badminton in India as a professional sport came up recently and surprisingly gained momentum and popularity. Some gloablly renowned players like Saina Nehawal, Jwala Gutta, Chetan Anand have ensured the Indian dominance in badminton world which was started by Pullela Gopichand and Prakash Padukone in an earlier era.
Following the footsteps of legends such as Saina Nehwal & Prakash Padukone, young players are all set to mark their impression.
Leading the way Sai Praneeth and HS Prannoy, a young shuttler all geared up and raring to perform in Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. Making a strong comment, they said they will not settle anything less than gold.
Making their own road of success , both Sai Praneeth and HS Pranoy put up impressive show in World Junior Badminton in Mexico, held in April and won bronze to qualify for Youth Olympic Games.
Youth Olympic Games will start August 14th 2010, and Sai Praneeth and HS Prannoy, future of Indian Badminton are ready to rock the word.
My best wishes for both the youngsters. Go make us proud like Saina Nehwal has !
