There are a number of different ways that fantasy baseball managers can get an advantage over their opponents. From scouring the waiver wire for unclaimed talents to trades and stashing players, there are various strategies that managers can implement.

When it comes to stashing players, this could count as a prospect awaiting a call to the MLB, injuries eyeing a return, or slumping players whose managers want to see if they will turn around on the bench. Today, we will take a closer look at some sidelined stars who could soon be back in the MLB.

A closer look at 3 injured players worth stashing in fantasy baseball leagues

#1 - Josh Jung

Texas Rangers third baseman Josh Jung might be the closest player to returning to the lineup on this list. The hard-hitting infielder has been sidelined since April after undergoing surgery on his injured wrist. It could be any day now that the Texas Rangers opt to activate the star.

That being said, Jung suffered a setback in his recovery after experiencing inflammation in his wrist. Jung is supposed to take part in batting practice on Friday, which is a positive sign. He is a must-stash in fantasy baseball.

#2 - Gavin Williams

One of the most promising pitchers in the Cleveland Guardians system, Gavin Williams continues to work his way back to the rotation. Williams has not pitched at all this season after suffering an elbow injury in Spring Training. The Guardians pitcher has been participating in a rehab assignment, throwing 4.0 innings of work on Wednesday. He should be back sooner rather than later.

#3 - Jeffrey Springs

Jeffrey Springs is a name that some fantasy baseball managers may have forgotten about, however, the Tampa Bay Rays pitcher could be back in the rotation in a few weeks. Like Williams, Springs has been actively pitching in a minor-league rehab assignment as he works his way back from Tommy John Surgery.
