The fantasy baseball season continues to cruise toward the All-Star break, which is a major milestone on the calendar. By this time of the season, fantasy managers tend to have a decent idea of where their team stands, including their strengths and weaknesses.

For the stronger clubs or those with solid records, stashing players can be a strategy that could give them an edge over their opponents. When it comes to stashing prospects in fantasy baseball, it isn't easy to gauge when they will be promoted. However, when these prospects do earn the call to the MLB, they can be league-winning talents for fantasy managers.

A look at 3 must-stash prospects in fantasy baseball leagues

#1 - James Wood

Fantasy baseball managers have been waiting all year for the Washington Nationals to promote top prospect James Wood. The mammoth 6'7" outfielder has been a force at the plate this season at Triple-A Rochester.

Over 50 games this season, Wood has posted an unfathomable .352 batting average with 10 home runs, 34 RBIs, and 10 stolen bases.

While it remains to be seen when the Washington Nationals will promote James Wood to the MLB, it would seem that it will be sooner rather than later. His combination of speed and power makes him a must-stash prospect in fantasy baseball leagues.

#2 - Junior Caminero

Another electric prospect who could be on the verge of a promotion to the MLB is Junior Caminero. The ultra-talented infielder of the Tampa Bay Rays made a case for himself to crack the opening day roster, however, he opened the year at Triple-A Durham.

Although an injury has limited him to only 34 games this season, Caminero has been solid, posting a .266 batting average with eight home runs and 24 RBIs.

The Tampa Bay Rays are one of the most interesting teams to monitor this summer as the club has underperformed in more ways than one. Whether they decide to sell some of their veterans or not, the Rays cannot afford to keep Caminero down much longer.

#3 - Jhonkensy Noel

While Jhonkensy Noel may not be considered a stash to some fantasy baseball managers since he was promoted to the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday, he is worth of a speculative add. Managers will likely want to pick up Noel and stash him on the bench to see what he can do.

Over 65 games in Triple-A this season, Noel posted an impressive .295 batting average with 18 home runs and 59 RBIs. However, he will need to improve his strikeout rate; he has the tools to benefit fantasy managers if he succeeds.
